Contestant Eligibilty

Scuba Queen USA 2025
- Criteria of Participation -

The contestant attests that they: 

  1. Are a resident of the United States and have a valid U.S. Passport;

  2. Are between the ages of 18-35 at the time of application and the time of the international pageant set for November 2025;

  3. Are able to converse in basic English;

  4. Are able to swim and are a certified scuba diver (minimum Open Water) or willing to obtain certification;

  5. Are female, never married, and are not a parent or adoptive parent of any child; 

  6. Are in good health and good moral character with no criminal history; 

  7. Are not under any contract that would prevent her from participating in the national or international pageant;

  8. Are willing to travel to compete in the international competition at their own expense with the support of the SCUBA Queen USA National Director and team. 
     

Expectations of our titleholder are:

  1. To represent the brand of SCUBA Queen USA both in person and on social media

  2. To represent the USA at the Miss Scuba International competition to be held in Malaysia November 2025

  3. To attend events and appearances set forth by the National Director 

  4. To pursue opportunities that further promote Scuba Queen USA, to be approved by the director 

  5. To connect with individuals that might have an interest in the dive industry, ocean conservation or competing for Scuba Queen USA. 

The Scuba Queen USA competition is a national preliminary to the Miss Scuba International competition. Our rules and eligibility are set forth based on the eligibility of the Miss Scuba International requirements. 

Miss Scuba International 2025
- Criteria of Participation -

  • Should be a citizen or are permanent resident of the country she will be representing;

  • Are between 18 – 35 years of age at the date of the International Pageant;

  • With a minimum height requirement of 160cm (5'3") in height (barefoot);

  • Are able to converse in basic English;

  • Are able to swim and a certified diver, at least Open Water or equivalent;

  • Must have a reasonable knowledge of current environmental issues;

  • Keen at promoting the sport of Scuba Diving and is passionate about Marine Conservation;

  • Are female by birth;

  • Are single; never been married;

  • Are not pregnant; never given birth;

  • Are in good health and good moral character;

  • Are not under contract with any person, firm, pageant or corporation that would prevent her appearance or participation in the Miss Scuba International Pageant

  • Has not participated in any obscene exhibitions, whether in print, stage, television or otherwise. 

 

Criteria for Judging:

 

1.     Individual Talent - Creativity, mastery, execution and overall appeal.

2.    Personality - Includes attitude towards other contestants and pageant crew, work ethics and contestant participation in the individual events.

3.     Marine Conservation Knowledge - Awareness of issues affecting our current global environment.

4.     Catwalk and Appearance - Sense of confidence, poise and elegance, beauty and charm, sense of fashion and style and overall stage presence.

5.     Questions and Answers Portion - Spontaneity, pertinence of answers and intelligence.

6.     Video Presentation - Relevance, content and speech delivery.
